17 May 2023 Number of Germany Scholarships up 5% in 2022

In 2022, 30,500 students received a Germany Scholarship in accordance with the Scholarship Programme Act. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that the number of scholarship holders rose by 5% compared with 2021. Measured against the provisional total of students in the winter semester of 2022/2023, the proportion of those on a scholarship was 1%, as a year earlier. Since the summer semester of 2011, the Germany Scholarship has supported students who, on account of their biography, are expected to perform outstandingly in their course of study and professional career.
