Changeover to the basis 2020
The consumer price index is regularly revised and adapted to a new base year. With the results for the reference month January 2023, the adaptation will take place from the previous base 2015 to the base year 2020. In the process, the results will be recalculated from January 2020. Simultaneously, the results based on 2015 will be revised. On 22 February 2023, final results for January 2023 will be published, along with all recalculated results from January 2020 on the new base 2020.
Changeover to the basis 2015
The consumer price index was changed from the base year 2010 to the base year 2015 in the reporting month January 2019. The weighting patterns were updated and methodological changes were implemented.
