Definition: To calculate this indicator, expenditures of all private households for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels are divided by the total expenditures for consumption. The basis for this calculation is the System of National Accounts as well as the Classification of Individual Consumption by Purpose (COICOP). This indicator represents the position 04 (housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels) as a share of total expenditure.
