International statistics Hospital beds

Definition: The indi­cator represents the number of hospital beds per 10,000 inhabitants. The World Health Or­gani­zation compiles the data mainly from ad­min­istra­tive sources. In some cases only public sector beds are included. The indi­cator is regarded as a key measure of the level of health system re­sources.
