Spatial coverage: Data is available for most countries of the world.
Statistical range: The database includes more than 100 indicators on information and communication technologies. The main topics are internet access, mobile phone users, telephone lines and PC equipment.
Periodicity / time series: All indicators are available as time series from 1960 onwards. Data is available for 5 year intervals up until 1975 and on an annual basis from 1975 to now.
Charges / registration: Full database access requires a fee and a registration. A smaller range of statistics are also available free of charge to non-registered users.
Further information: Some key indicators are available for free as time series that go back to the year 1998. In addition, it is possible to access country profiles which provide latest figures on a range of topics for free via the database ICT Eye.
