WIESBADEN – The turnover of enterprises with 20 or more persons employed in the energy, water and waste management industry amounted to 587.7 billion euros in 2014. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that this was a decline of roughly 15.9 billion euros (in nominal terms -2.6%) compared with 2013. Turnover decreased for the second year in a row, after several years that saw strong increases. As a matter of fact, the turnover of 2014 was still 32.4% higher than that of 2010.
