- 3.4 million new passenger cars were exported, with an export value of 135.0 billion euros
- Of these, 25.9% were all-electric cars
- 1.8 million new cars were imported
WIESBADEN – Approximately 3.4 million new cars to the value of 135.0 billion euros were exported from Germany in 2024. The volume of cars exported was therefore up 2.5% on 2023. In terms of value, new car exports decreased slightly by 1.3%. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that the United States was the biggest importer, accounting for 13.1% of all exported new vehicles. The second largest importer was the United Kingdom (11.3%), with France ranking third (7.4%).
