WIESBADEN – The IDEV reporting system of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) went back online on 25 November 2024 as planned. As a precautionary measure, the Federal Statistical Office took its IDEV system offline in mid-November 2024 immediately after a possible data breach was reported. The suspected security vulnerability was not confirmed in the course of subsequent investigations. Businesses reporting data can now regain access to the reporting platform using the new login credentials they have received. IDEV is the central reporting system for many official statistics. The temporary inaccessibility of the IDEV system has only resulted in the need to reschedule release dates or quality limitations for a limited number of statistics. With just a few exceptions, the Federal Statistical Office will therefore continue to publish the relevant statistics as scheduled.
The Federal Statistical Office will provide continuous updates on release delays on its website and will clearly indicate any limitations concerning individual statistics and indicators upon their publication.
