Truck toll mileage index, January 2024
+2.4% on the previous month (calendar and seasonally adjusted)
-1.6% on the same month a year earlier (calendar adjusted) 

KÖLN/WIESBADEN – The mileage covered by trucks with four or more axles, which are subject to toll charges, on German motorways increased by 2.4% in January 2024 compared with December 2023, after calendar and seasonal adjustment, following a 3.5% decrease in the previous month. The Federal Logistics and Mobility Office (BALM) and the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also report that, on a calendar adjusted basis, the truck toll mileage index was 1.6% lower than in January 2023.
