- German exports to CIS countries (excluding Russia) up 1.7 billion euros, exports to Russia down 4.9 billion euros at the same time
- German motor vehicle exports to CIS countries up 65.0%
WIESBADEN – An increase of German exports to the CIS countries (Commonwealth of Independent States, here: excluding Russia) has been observed since the start of Russia’s attack on Ukraine. Goods to the value of 7.3 billion euros were exported from Germany to the CIS countries in the period from January to October 2023. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that exports to these countries therefore increased by 1.7 billion euros, or 30.0%, compared with the same period a year earlier. German exports to the Russian Federation decreased by 4.9 billion euros, or 39.1%, to 7.6 billion euros in the same period.
