New orders in the main construction industry, February 2023
+4.2% on the previous month (in real terms, seasonally and calendar adjusted)
-15.4% on the same month a year earlier (in real terms, calendar adjusted)
-3.4% on the same month a year earlier (in nominal terms)
WIESBADEN – The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that price-adjusted new orders in the main construction industry in February 2023 increased by a seasonally and working-day adjusted 4.2% on January 2023.
In building construction and civil and underground engineering, new orders received by establishments of enterprises with 20 or more persons employed decreased by 3.4% in nominal terms compared with the corresponding month of the previous year.
