Turnover in accommodation and food services, February 2023 (provisional results, calendar and seasonally adjusted)

WIESBADEN - In February 2023, the calendar and seasonally adjusted turnover in accommodation and food services decreased by a real (price adjusted) 2.7% and a nominal (not price adjusted) 2.3% compared with January 2023. Based on provisional results, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the turnover in accommodation and food services in February 2023 (in real terms and after adjustment for calendar and seasonal fluctuations) was 12.8% higher than in February 2022. It was, however, 15.2% below the level of February 2019, the corresponding month before the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in Germany.
