Truck toll mileage index, February 2023
+2.4% on the previous month (calendar and seasonally adjusted)
-2.7% on the same month a year earlier (calendar adjusted)

KÖLN/WIESBADEN – The mileage covered by trucks with four or more axles, which are subject to toll charges, on German motorways increased by a calendar and seasonally adjusted 2.4% in February 2023 compared with January 2023. Following the 4.9% decrease in December, this was the second consecutive month in which a month-on-month increase in the truck toll mileage index was recorded. In January 2023, the rate of change was 1.0%. The Federal Logistics and Mobility Office (BALM) and the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also report that, on a calendar adjusted basis, the truck toll mileage index fell by 2.7% compared with February 2022.
