Truck toll mileage index, January 2023
+1.0% on the previous month (calendar and seasonally adjusted)
-4.5% on the same month a year earlier (calendar adjusted)
KÖLN/WIESBADEN – The mileage covered by trucks with four or more axles, which are subject to toll charges, on German motorways increased by a calendar and seasonally adjusted 1.0% in January 2023 compared with December 2022. The Federal Logistics and Mobility Office (BALM) and the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) report that this has partly offset the strong decline recorded in December 2022 (-4.9%). However, the calendar adjusted truck toll mileage index was down 4.5% on January 2022.
