- Total beer sales rose by 2.7% on the previous year, domestic sales were up by 4.0%
- Exports to non-EU countries down 12.4% on the previous year
WIESBADEN – In 2022, the beer producing and storing establishments in Germany sold roughly 8.8 billion litres of beer.The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that this was an increase in beer sales of 2.7%, or 232.6 million litres, compared with 2021. These figures do not include non-alcoholic beers, malt beverages or beer imported from countries outside the European Union (EU).
