Turnover in the service sector, October 2022 (provisional, calendar and seasonally adjusted)
-0.7% on the previous month (in real terms)
-0.9% on the previous month (in nominal terms)
+7.7% on the same month a year earlier (in real terms)
+12.1% on the same month a year earlier (in nominal terms)
WIESBADEN – In October 2022, the real (price adjusted) turnover of the service sector in Germany (not including financial and insurance activities) was 0.7% lower and the nominal (not price adjusted) turnover 0.9% lower than in September 2022, according to provisional results of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) after calendar and seasonal adjustment. Despite the decrease, turnover was a real 7.7%, and a nominal 12.1% higher than in October 2021. Compared with the pre-crisis level of October 2019, turnover was up a real 3.3% and a nominal 17.0%.
