WIESBADEN – Establishments of the industry and service sectors in Germany generated a turnover of approximately 305 million euros in 2020 from goods, services and construction operations for the protection of species and landscapes. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that environmental turnover amounted to 78.9 billion euros in 2020. This means that biodiversity measures, which are quite important, accounted for only 0.4% of total environmental turnover.
