WIESBADEN – In March 2022, 203 people died in road traffic accidents in Germany, according to provisional results. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that 16 more people were killed in road traffic in March 2022 than in March 2021 when the Covid-19 pandemic had a stronger impact on traffic accidents due to lockdown measures. The number of people injured increased by 26% to 26,500 in March 2022 year on year.
