WIESBADEN – Producer prices of agricultural products were 22.5% higher in February 2022 than in February 2021. Compared with the same month a year earlier, this is the highest rise in prices since May 2011. Prices were up by 3.3% compared with January 2022. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the prices of plant products (+23.8%) and animal products (+21.4%) increased markedly compared with the same month of the previous year.
