- 4.6% more business insolvencies in November 2021 year on year
- Consumer insolvencies in November 2021 almost tripled (+181.4%) on November 2020
WIESBADEN – Based on provisional data of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the number of requests for normal business insolvency in Germany in January 2022 fell by 17.2% on December 2021. It rose by 18.0% in December 2021 compared with the previous month. During the Covid-19 crisis, insolvency figures decreased, at times considerably, as a result of special legal regulations and financial support. Special regulations have no longer been in force since May 2021.
