Turnover in accommodation and food services, October 2021 (provisional results, calendar and seasonally adjusted)

WIESBADEN - In October 2021, the calendar and seasonally adjusted turnover in accommodation and food services declined by a real (price adjusted) 0.6% and a nominal (not price adjusted) 0.1% on September 2021. Compared with October 2020, turnover in accommodation and food services was however up by 19.9% in real terms. Based on provisional results, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the turnover, in real terms, was 17.8% below the level of February 2020, the month before the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in Germany.
