- Average receipts of medical practices amounted to 602,000 euros in 2019
- Receipts from settlement with statutory health insurance institutions: medical practices 71.2%, dental practices 51.6%, practices of psychological psychotherapists 87.4%
WIESBADEN – In 2019, settlement with statutory health insurance institutions accounted for the largest part of the receipts of medical practices in Germany (71.2%). Medical practices include practices of general practitioners and practices of medical specialists like internists or orthopaedists. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that 25.9% of the receipts came from settlement with private patients and 2.9% from other medical self-employment activities.
