WIESBADEN – For millions of commuters, the car is the most popular means of transport. In 2020, 68% of them indicated that they usually take the car to go to work. This is reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis). The users of public transport such as bus or train accounted for a much smaller proportion (just over 13%). One in ten persons in employment regularly took the bicycle to go to work.
