WIESBADEN – In 2019, forestry in Germany produced goods and services to the value of 6.9 billion euros. Based on results of the forest accounts, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that output declined by more than one fifth (-21%) compared with a year earlier. Net business profits were even down by 61%.
