WIESBADEN – In 2020, the volume of goods loaded and unloaded in German sea ports decreased by 6.4% compared with the previous year. A total of 275.7 million tonnes of goods were loaded or unloaded. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that dispatches to foreign countries (-1.4%) declined less significantly year on year than the volume of goods received (-9.2%).
