WIESBADEN – Mobility in Germany in the second half of February 2021 (15 to 26 February) came close to the pre-crisis level. The mobility of the population in the first two weeks of February (1 to 14 February 2021) was 19% below the pre-crisis level of February 2019, whereas in the subsequent weeks it went markedly up. In Week 7 (15 to 21 February) it was just 11%, and on the first five days of Week 8 (22 to 26 February) only 4%, below the reference values of February 2019. This is shown by a special evaluation of experimental data carried out by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) to represent mobility changes during the coronavirus pandemic.
