- Household insurance expenditure increased by almost 50% from 2009
- Average expenditure ranged between 360 euros and 2,940 euros, depending on income
WIESBADEN - Insurance expenditure impact many households especially at the beginning of a year when insurance premiums usually become due. Results of the continuous household budget surveys show how much households spend on insurance services. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that household insurance expenditure amounted to an average of roughly 1,500 euros in 2019. In 2009 the figure was 1,020 euros.
