WIESBADEN – Approximately 57.8 million air passengers arrived at, or departed from, the 24 largest commercial airports in Germany in 2020. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that this was a year-on-year decline of 74.5%. It was also the lowest figure since German reunification (1991: roughly 63 million air passengers). In 2019, a record high of 226.7 million air passengers was reached.
