WIESBADEN – The number of students at German higher education institutions remained high in the summer semester of 2020. According to results of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), 2,723,100 students were enrolled at higher education institutions in Germany in the summer semester of 2020. Student numbers increased only slightly by 0.8% (+20,900) compared with the summer semester of 2019.
