WIESBADEN – Turnover in the non-financial business economy in Germany was slightly up in September 2020 compared with the previous month. Based on provisional data, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that the nominal (not price adjusted) turnover increased by a seasonally and calendar adjusted 0.3%. Last month a turnover development of -1.3% was reported for August 2020 compared with July 2020. This figure has been revised to +1.3% as a result of incorporating late data deliveries. So the upward trend continued after the low point in April 2020, though at a slightly slower pace. The figure for September 2020 is 1.9% lower than the one for February 2020, the month before restrictions were imposed because of the coronavirus pandemic in Germany.
