WIESBADEN - To halt the spread of coronavirus, especially large events are banned at the moment. Events with large audiences like festivals, and cinema or theatre performances involve a wide range of economic activities in planning and conducting the events, and also catering. Based on information from advance turnover tax returns, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that turnover generated only by the organisers of concerts, theatre and opera performances amounted to 8.8 billion euros in 2018.
