WIESBADEN – In 2018, enterprises in industry (excluding construction) invested 2.4 billion euros for environmental protection in Germany.
The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that this was nearly a quarter (23%) of the total environmental investments. These are investments in assets which serve to reduce, prevent or eliminate emissions into the environment or enable resources to be used more carefully.
