WIESBADEN – In 2018, gas suppliers received an average of 3.48 cents per kilowatt hour for the gas they sold to all final consumers (for instance businesses and households). According to provisional results of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the average proceeds increased by 1.8% compared with 2017. Average proceeds from sales to household customers were 4.89 cents per kilowatt hour, which was a 1.4% decline compared with the previous year. Proceeds from sales to industry amounted to 2.63 cents per kilowatt hour. This was a marked increase of 7.3% from the previous year.
