WIESBADEN – The inflation rate in Germany as measured by the consumer price index is expected to be 1.2% in September 2019. Based on the results available so far, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the consumer prices are expected to remain unchanged from August 2019.

In September 2019, the harmonised index of consumer prices for Germany, which is calculated for European purposes, is expected to increase by 0.9% year on year and decrease by 0.1% on August 2019.
The final results for September 2019 will be released on 11 October 2019.
