More people live in Germany than ever before - the population increased by 227,000 on a year earlier
WIESBADEN - Germany's population rose by 227,000 (+0.3%) in 2018 year on year. At the end of 2018, the country’s population was about 83.0 million. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that it was the first time that Germany’s population exceeded the threshold of 83 million.
