WIESBADEN – Total expenditure on environmental services amounted to roughly 66.2 billion euros in 2016. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that environmental protection expenditure increased by 2.9% on a year earlier. In 2016, enterprises in Germany spent 41.1 billion euros, households 14.3 billion euros and general government 10.8 billion euros on environmental services.
