WIESBADEN – According to results of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), Germany's total population rose by 270,700 in 2017 on a year earlier (+0.3%) to stand at 82.8 million on 31 December 2017. A first estimate of the Federal Statistical Office of 16 January 2018 was thus confirmed.
