Press Meat production slightly up in the first half of 2018 year on year

WIESBADEN – In the first six months of 2018, 4.0 million tonnes of meat were produced by commercial slaughterhouses in Germany. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that meat production increased by roughly 20,200 tonnes (+0.5%) compared with the first six months of 2017.
