Press Construction prices for residential buildings May 2018: +4.1% on a year earlier

WIESBADEN – In May 2018, the construction prices for conventionally constructed new residential buildings (construction work performed at the building; including turnover tax) in Germany were up 4.1% compared with May 2017. In February 2018, as reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the prices increased 4.0% on a year earlier. Compared with February 2018, the prices for residential buildings rose up 1.0% in May 2018.

Concerning non-residential buildings, in May 2018, the prices were up 4.1% for office buildings and also for industrial buildings compared with May 2017. For road construction the prices rose up 5.6% compared with the corresponding month of the preceding year.
