Press The People's Republic of China is again Germany's main trading partner

WIESBADEN – According to provisional results, goods worth 186.6 billion euros were traded between Germany and the People's Republic of China in 2017 (exports and imports). The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that the People's Republic of China was Germany’s most important trading partner in 2017 for the second consecutive year. Next came the Netherlands with a trading volume of 177.3 billion euros, followed by the United States in third place with a foreign trade turnover of 172.6 billion euros. France dropped from second to fourth in the list of main trading partners in 2017. From 1975 to 2014, France was Germany's most important trading partner.
