WIESBADEN – As reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) on the basis of turnover tax statistics, nearly 3.3 million businesses in Germany filed advance turnover tax returns in 2016. Compared with 2015, the number of businesses covered rose by 10,892 tax subjects or +0.3%. The value of deliveries and other performances (turnover) of all businesses was EUR 6.1 trillion, which was an increase by EUR 99 billion (+1.6%) compared with 2015.
