Press Raw material input for consumption and investments in 2014: 1.3 billion tonnes

WIESBADEN – According to provisional calculations of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), Germany's raw material footprint amounted to 1.30 billion tonnes in 2014. The footprint indicates how much raw material is used globally for the production of goods to meet consumption and investment demand in Germany. Compared with 2000, the figure was down by 17%. However, it had hardly changed since 2010 (+1%).
