WIESBADEN – In October 2017, German local courts reported 1,637 business insolvencies. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that this was a 1.0% increase compared with October 2016.
The local courts reported that, in relation to the business insolvency requests, the prospective debts owed to creditors amounted to just under 1.7 billion euros in October 2017. In October 2016, they totalled roughly 1.5 billion euros.
