Press Trend of increasing wage differentiation has stopped

WIESBADEN – The earnings gap between low-paid and high-paid workers remained nearly constant between 2010 and 2014. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the long-term trend of increasing wage differentiation has stopped. In 2014, the decile ratio of gross earnings was 3.41 and slightly below the level of 2010 (3.45). In 2006, the ratio stood at 3.33.
