WIESBADEN – In 2015, the number of live births in Germany was 738,000. On the basis of provisional figures, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that this was an increase of 23,000 newborn children, or 3.2%, compared with 2014 (715,000).
925,000 people died in 2015.
The number of couples who married that year was 400,000.
