WIESBADEN – The losses of creditors in insolvency proceedings in Germany (without Bremen) that were opened in 2009 and completed by the end of 2013 amounted to 12.8 billion euros. Based on provisional figures, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the losses were determined as the difference between the prorated claims of creditors (13.1 billion euros) and the amount available for distribution among them (350 million euros). Consequently, the rate of coverage was 2.7%.
