WIESBADEN – As reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), turnover in the German accommodation and food service activities in February 2016 increased by 3.6% in real terms and by 5.6 % in nominal terms compared with the corresponding month of the previous year
Compared with the same period in the previous year, turnover in the German accommodation and food service activities increased by 2.5% in real terms and by 4.7% in nominal terms in the first two months of 2016.
After adjustment for calendar and seasonal effects (Census X-12-ARIMA) the turnover in February 2016 was in real and in nominal terms 0.5% smaller than that in the previous month..
Modified calculation of calendar and seasonally adjusted values:
Starting today, the press release will contain calendar and seasonally adjusted values that have been calculated by means of the Census X-12-ARIMA method. Calendar and seasonally adjusted values which have been calculated by means of the method used so far (Berliner method 4.1/ BV 4.1) will additionally be available at Short-term indicators and in GENESIS-Online.
