WIESBADEN – Roughly 516,200 juveniles in Germany concluded a new apprenticeship contract within the dual system (enterprise/vocational school) in 2015. Based on provisional figures, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that this was a decrease of 2,200 contracts or 0.4% compared with 2014.
In the new Länder (including Berlin), the number of new contracts declined slightly by 0.5% on 2014. In the former territory of the Federal Republic, the number of contracts concluded fell by 0.4%.
