WIESBADEN – In January 2016, 241 people died on German roads; this was an increase of 16 traffic accident fatalities, or 7.1% on January 2015. Based on provisional figures, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that roughly 26,000 people were injured in road traffic. The number of persons injured thus remained unchanged on January 2015.
