WIESBADEN – As reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) on the basis of turnover tax statistics, nearly 3.2 million businesses in Germany filed advance turnover tax returns in 2014. Compared with 2013, the number of businesses covered decreased by 3,317 tax subjects or –0.1%. The value of deliveries and other performances (turnover) of all businesses was EUR 5.9 trillion, which was an increase by EUR 105 billion (+1.8%) compared with 2013.
